The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA)
The California Consumer Privacy Act was the second extraterritorial regulation that adds special protection to the personal data of Californian citizens. As well as introducing a way for Californian’s to easily opt-out of the sale of their data, the regulation gives citizens’ rights to understand what data is held and why it is being processed.
The California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), coming into effect in 2023, will bring the CCPA even closer to the more stringent EU GDPR-style protections.
Trunomi’s CCPA solution includes Consent Management, DSR Automation and Records of Data Processing, and future-proofs businesses for the upcoming changes with the CPRA.
